1 ton ghost 08-03-07, 03:24 PM	as mentioned prior, Libris Mortis. it is an excellent book. on a related note, i thought they were going to cover the gambit considering the "think tank" at WotC is getting dry so to speak. that is: libris motis: undead lords of madness: aberrations a few for dragons a few on drow alone, let alone all elves why not one on monstrous humanoids, giants, constructs, etc? anyway, i digress. consider Necropolitan in Libris Mortis. it is excellent, especially for low HD characters. it's just plain old undead, nothing fancy, but the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. darkvision, no real Fort saves to worry about anymore, never having to sleep/eat/no fatigue, d12 HD (but no Con), etc. diplomacy, turn/rebuke undead, and socialization could be problematic, but Disguise, a Hat of Disguise, or Disguise Undead (spell) should help. stay out of harm's way. if conflicted given alignment constaints, you could adjust it to Deathless which is the same thing just opposite polarity to put it simply. 1/2 Vampire is terribly effective too. i cannot recommed Libris Mortis enough. Unearthed Arcana might have a few undead class options as well
