I looked at the compendium at the top and saw undead, but when I clicked the link was off. I'm looking for like a skeleton race.

So i was wondering if anyone has the rules for this race or if there are any official races like this?

I'm looking for something like the scourge from Warcraft.

Thanks in advance.

Necropolitan? Or you could use the bone template from BoVD

The problem with using undead as player races is that most of them have crippling level adjustments. The only exception I can think of is a Necropolitan from Libris Mortis. It's a template that can be applied to any race that turns it into an intelligent undead. It's also +0 level adjustment, so it's easier to play than a lich or vampire.

ok i kno of a skeleton race... called the Eleti... it is in the mythic races book ( im not lieing. its made by fantasy flight games) ok this is their traitrs:

+2 Dex

No CON

Only Med-small size

base speed is 30ft for medium and 20ft for small

Darkvision 60ft

+2 racial on hide and move silently

Immunities: cold damage and half from piercing and slashing weapons

Undead traits ( gee i wonder why)

Can be effected by Turns and Rebukes

Command undead allows them a will save (DC 10+ clerics level+ clerics CHA modifier)

Turn Resistance as general feat

Automatic languages: common

Bonus languages: any ( other than secret ones like druidic)

Fav Class: Fighter (why the hell is that?)

Oh and they can be any Alignment.

The problem with undead races is that their immunities and such warrant at least a +4 LA. Necropolitan is not an LA+0 template. It is an inherited template that gives you a negative level.

Well it's still technically LA +0. However, it does cause you to lose a level and 1000 extra XP (which might result in you losing another level). However, due to the nature of D&D said necropolitan character will eventually catch back up to the rest of the party, unlike with level adjustments.

This seems like a bit of a hold-over from 3.0 (and is the same with the Bone Creature template from BoVD). It should probably be changed to Damage Reduction 5/bludgeoning.

Yeah its an ok race... but since its undead it has a but load of special undead stuff (like being able to use negative energy to heal)

Anyone can do that with a feat. I think most of what makes undead powerful are their vast immunities (energy drain, ability drain and damage, stunning, critical hits, poison, disease, nonlethal damage, just to name a few).

Actually its an LA+1 if your going to let people start with it. Because you have to lose a level. You have to have a level to lose it. Its like saying "Ok everyone start off at level 3, except Dave, Dave can start at level 4 because he want so be necropolitan.".

As an alternative, you can also consider the Forsaken, from World of Warcraft RPG (LA+0).

Your right. the undead have so many immunities that they make some of the best races ( in my oppinion ) My DM hates me because i always play some sort of Undead, demon, Dragon, or Abberation :88E:

can't you just create a character and convert it to a skeleton using the regular monster manual? its not that hard for the DM to come up with a reason, if you're too lazy, that you remain sentient and good aligned if you want

The net effect is LA +1 yes, but the actual level adjustment entry is still "Same as base creature" which in the case of a human or something would be zero. :P

Gravetouched ghoul is GREAT for a mere +2 LA! You get great stat bonuses, attacks, and you can eat flesh. And the example given is a Lawful Neutral Monk! So the alignment is whatever you want!
