Undead versus Psionic [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-24-07, 10:49 PM One of my character always want to become a lich... whatever the character he makes....

Now he's making a psion telepath... and I was wondering if it was possible. I read nothing that says that an undead cannot be psionic... but meanwhile, psionic means using mind to cast.... and an undead is immune to mind-affecting effects because it doen't have a mind anyway... so is it possible to have a Lich Psion ?

Yes, he can use mind-affecting powers while being immune to them himself.

05-25-07, 02:35 AM Well, he'd probably have to be a cerebremancer or psychic theurge to actually be able to craft the phylactery, but other than that, go for it.

05-25-07, 02:49 AM Though technically a Lich needs to be a spell caster, ignore this because psionics is just another form of magic :P . And make his phylactery with craft universal item.

05-25-07, 04:47 AM In the Complete Psionics there is a race called Spectral Savant. For all intents and purposes, it's a psionic Lich of sorts. Hell, the example they give is for a LG Telepath!
