I love the 'dove bustle' design of the Valkyries from Odin Sphere, and the kinds of attacks they help foster. What kind of LA would it be for a PC race to be able not to fly, but to feather fall at will? Say, throw in a Diving Attack feat at 1st, would that be LA +0? Maybe throw in a bonus on Spot checks? Thanks. |

Perhaps even LA-1, due to the fact that Feather Fall at will, a +4 bonus to Spot and a free Feat (that you cannot choose yourself) is not a whole lot of good. I think you would need to work it out a little lot more should you wish to implement this in a game. |

| WereForged03-13-08, 10:00 PM | Maybe add a +2 dex? |

Instead of a jump bonus (or that feather fall at will), you could add some kind of floating/gliding ability like that of the Raptorans. They can't fly, but their wings allow them to soften their falls as if with feather fall. You could have it so that the Valkyries can do something like that, but since they have no wings, it's a supernatural ability. |
