How can I mimic this racially without an ECL? (We're starting at first level.) Basically, anything human-looking (orc is too different) with light sensitivity and a tendency to wear black will do fine. I can mimic the rest with class abilities. Any races come to mind? Danke :) |

| The_Shaman03-02-07, 09:56 AM | There may be some vampirish hybridization class (i.e. Night Mask Enforcer) somewhere. If not, either vampire monster progression, or the Fang & Fury vampire scion. You could also have her look at the vampiric bloodline in the SRD (under variant rules, IIRC, it's at d20srd.org). The "bloodlines" are rather weird and weakish imo, but it could work for her. Light sensitivity can easily be a flaw (or it could be a modified half-drow ;) ). The rest is roleplaying. |

| Ebonyte03-02-07, 12:55 PM | If you want LA+0, the vampire in OGL Steampunk is pretty good. As mentioned above, I'd also second the Fang and Fury by Green Ronin, the Vampire Spawn monster class or Half-Vampire template in Libris Moris, or the vampire bloodlines. You might also just consider a Rogue-Necromancer multiclass who affects a very vampire-like attitude and manner of dress. Vampiric Touch, Fangs of the Vampire King, Spider Climb, combine these with a set of social stats and sneak attacks, and you've got something fun with the flavor, without any of the actual vampire in them. |
