| Chaos9007-31-07, 12:31 AM | Hi everyone, I was wondering if you have any experiences or opinions on playing a vampire spawn or vampire. Is it possible to create a character of these races(or tenplates) that doesn't suck, or are these options only available to npcs? Also, if anyone knows, what feats are good for vampires and what classes could they best at? I know casters are essentially out of the window, but are martial adepts decent choices(sorry if this part of the question isn't on the right thread)? |
| runestar07-31-07, 12:37 AM | LA+8 for a vampire pretty much makes it unplayable, IMO. Its glut of special abilities means that for any given encounter, you are either too strong and will bypass it too easily, or are too weak and cannot contribute properly. Not sure about the vampire spawn. |

I really never would have tought of that:D Is there anything else(like templates and such) that you could add to that to make it more varied and allow for many types of undead characters? Spell-stiched could be one(or maybe not, I don't know:P ) |

| Lawlicron08-10-07, 08:27 AM | Another problem with the vampire is its incredibly long list of restrictions. They can't even cross running rivers you know. It just makes adventuring super problematic. The Half-Vampire template works out really well for characters who want to be vampire-esq and still be functional. |
