| skio01-16-08, 05:36 PM | In my campaign setting I decided to give the core races exotic names which represent the race name in it's members' language. For example my dwarves call themselves 'Grimdar' in their own tongue, whereas the word 'dwarf' is in the Common tongue. Humans - Anthar Elves - Aeldeth Dwarves - Grimdar Halflings - Lirrin Orcs - Uruk Goblins - Kuldan Hobgoblins - Hunkuldan Trolls - Throlod Giants - Jotun Tieflings - Daeva Does any of you do the same? And what names do you use? |
| CryoSilver01-16-08, 05:48 PM | Human: Human Elf: Pansy human Dwarf: Redneck human Halfling: Short human Orc: Ugly human Goblin: Short, ugly human Hobgoblin: Furry human Troll: Freakishly tall, ugly human Giant: Same Tiefling: Goth poser human The thinking is, that since humans seem able to interbreed with all these races, they're all actually some kind of human. |
