Considering that you have to have masterork to begin enchanting, that would imply, yes it is, not to mention, bringing a construct to animation, the whole thing should be considered masterwork correct? Question 2: If a warforged armour is masterwork, can you take Ancestral Relic? The item may have belonged to a person you were connected with, IE the House of Making or whatever it is called. Someone had to make you and you are definetly connected with them. Might make for some intresting RP. Question 3: Does it say anywhere what happens with Warforged with their regular armour and Vow of Poverty? I know there's been discussions on the feats and vow of poverty. Well any links would be useful. |
| Neutronium_Dragon03-13-08, 08:07 PM | 1) It's not masterwork per se, but it's enhanceable without needing that. 2) Ancestral Relic wouldn't make a lot of sense with its default fluff because the plating is manufactured as a part of the warforged in the creation forge. It isn't something pre-made which is strapped on in an assembly line system. On the other hand, the creation forges do occasionally spit out warforged who have decidedly nonstandard traits, and plating which is unusually attuned to magic and tends to built it up over time isn't all that out of the question. Same mechanics, different fluff. 3) It's unaffected by Vow of Poverty. It's a racial ability, not an item, and doesn't even have a GP value. |

| Nightshade03-15-08, 12:50 AM | I'd say the Adamantine Body feat is masterwork. You can see it by looking at the corresponding armor check penalties for the Adamantine body and Full Plate. The penalty is reduced from the -6 that full plate has to -5 for the body feat. Mithril body is just that... mithril and follows the rules for mithril. i.e. reducing the armor check penalty by 2. |

I am considering allowing this to be costed as a Weapon to pimp the Slam attack and spikes. 3: I agree with Neutronium_Dragon. |
