Warforged's can't use armor, except for Mithril and Adamintine advancement feats at first level. So the can only have a AC of 12, 15, or 18 + DR 2/-. But, then he can only have no armor, light armor, or heavy armor. For a Duskblade, this is a problem. If he takes light armor he has a class feature to ignore arcane spell failure, but it's only 15 AC. For being able to switch between melee and ranged magic, but a 15 AC doesn't help. Also, he would have to have to have heavy armor for melee, but doesn't get a feature to stop arcane spell failure... any ideas?

If you take Adamantine Body, the Battle Caster feat will help once you get to level 4. Till then you will have to suck that spell failure up, but it's not so bad because duskbades are good in melee combat anyway.

Or you could just take unarmored body and use normal crafted armor like everyone else, but then you will only end up with medium armor instead of heavy.

Battle Caster was mentioned. There's also Ironwood Body in Races of Eberron, that is 'medium armor'.

Adamantine Body, eventually add some magics and feats to help you out. There are simple options, check complete arcane and complete warrior out. Arcane Strike might be useful. Suck it up, heavy armor works nicely. I've seen a Warmage play Adamantine body and clean up rather nicely. Arcane Spell Failure isn't so bad, and you won't lose spells quite as often as you think. Plus you'll have more spells per day than anyone else with a full BAB, run with it, you won't soon regret it.
