what if he had the second slam feat, or the one that gives them a bite attack?

12-29-07, 12:31 AM To the first question...No. Not until it is sufficiently high enough level to make more than 1 attack per round.

The second question would require the source to look at the feat descriptions.

12-29-07, 12:58 AM I believe that to make a slam attack, you need a hand free (much like a claw attack).

A greataxe requires both hands to hold, so that disables the use of your slams.

A bite is good to go though. So a warforged with jaws of death and a greataxe makes a normal attack with his axe, then follows up with a bite attack as a secondary attack (-5 to-hit, 1/2 str mod to damage).

12-29-07, 12:36 PM Aren't you allowed to hold a two-handed weapon in one hand? Couldn't you make an attack with the greataxe, switch it to one hand, and make a secondary attack with the slam?

12-29-07, 11:01 PM thanks, my GM was telling me he diddnt think i could make a slam because it was a primary natural attakc or something, but ill pick up the bite one i think.

You cannot swing your axe, sling it to one hand, and make an attack with your slam attack. You simply don't have the time.

Also, you are unlikely to gain much from that tactic as opposed to simply using your most powerful weapon for all your attacks.

As stated, with a greataxe, you would be unable to use your slam attack. However, if the Warforged were using a battleaxe, their other hand would be free. You could thus make a slam attack as a secondary attack at -5 to your full attack bonus. Your weapon attacks with the battleaxe would be at full bonus, including any additional attacks from high BAB.
