Actually, I believe the template is one that makes the original non-living creature lose a bunch of it's normal abilities in order to become living/gain a CON score... Warforged are already living, so I don't think you can technically apply the template in the first place. If you did, it doesn't add 2, that's a minus sign beside LA.

It's the incarnate construct template from Savage Species ? IMO you wouldn't be 2 levels higher, if anything you would loss 2 levels. Why would you want to add it to a warforged, it would lose all it's immunites and being a living creature already??

I think this is almost correct. Usually, the LA adjustment (as it is explained in savage species) applies to the creature HD, even for template, not to the former LA or ECL. That is, the example Incarnate Stone Golem from savage speices, with no class level, as an ECL of 14 (HD) -2 = 12. However (that's probably what you meant), the -2 LA does not reduce you ECL (not including class level) to below 0. If you where to incarnate a warforged, is ECL would be (racial HD + LA)(minimum 0) + class level, that (0 + (-2) = 0) + class level. It would result in the effect you said if another template was applied first.

Isn't that kinda like putting an "Undead" template on a Zombie?

I mean, if you think about it, "Incarnate Construct" basically turns inanimate constructs into living beings... and a Warforged already IS a Living Construct.

It would be ridiculous and utterly redundant to even try it.
