what kind of reactions could a whisperGnome expect? [Archive] - Wizards Community

One of my players is playing a Whisper Gnome and he is having a hard time roleplaying this.

Two questions:
- what do you think is a typical Whipser Gnome like?
- how would others react to a whisperGnome?
( he's a rogue who get's all the bonusses of being a whispergnome, but nothing of the roleplay implications)

I know the RoS gives a description, but somehow this doesn't seem to work for this player. Could you give some extra pointers?

The flavor seems to be quiet and somewhat not trusting. It should not be difficult to roleplay quiet...

Perhaps you should give us more information about how his current character is acting and why you think it's not whisper gnome-like.

01-16-08, 03:45 AM What led you to that conclusion? knowing till a certain extend what a whispergnome is and knwoing that his original idea was based on a young human....but turning whispergnome because of the perfect abilities it grants for a rogue.

Did he specify that his character is a typical whisper gnome? ......... no his sheet teels us he's a whispergnome, but it only says beause of the extra's the race gives. I would be glad if he just started playing a *typical* whispergnome...since a whispergnome with added depth is a bit too much right now.

The flavor seems to be quiet and somewhat not trusting. It should not be difficult to roleplay quiet... that's indeed pretty easy, but it's something he has to get in his system....and base his choices on it (even if isn't that practical)

Perhaps you should give us more information about how his current character is acting and why you think it's not whisper gnome-like His original concept was that of a young human boy, but then he found out about the whisper gnome and just changed the stats ;) (that's it basically)
