Xephs are pretty fast when they want to be. Also, Nezumi have a base speed of 40ft.

Are we talking just PC races or, y'know, anything? We have a travel deity that can run over 6,000ft in a round.

If you can find one of Green Ronin's Expanded Bestaries, I highly suggest the Quickling template. It'll double your land speed, gives a huge Dexterity boost, and grants several speed related feats, such as Improved Initiative.

As for a character build, both Monks and Scouts get great speed related bonuses. Also, a Psychic Warrior can manifest Hustle, which will give you an extra move action each round. There is also a character trait in Unearthed Arcana that will give you a +10 racial bonus to speed at the cost of some hp.

shifter (ebberon campain settings)with longstrider trait has speed while shifting of 40 feets and with elite longstrider trait you gain another +10 feet while shifting.
a lvl in scout or barberian and now while shifting you have base landspeed of 60 at lvl 3

Nope, theres a feat in the Complete Warrior that adds a 5ft bonus. You can take it multiple times.
Also, theres one in the Expanded Psionics Handbook that adds +10ft while you are psionically focused.

I made some notes in your other thread (in the classes section) but I figured I'd mention the monkey people from oriental adventures here. They also have a bonus to wisdom, so if your going to use monk, it's a nice race. Pretty sure it doesn't have a level adjustment, but it's been years since I got my hands on an OA book (lost mine).

Personally, I'm fond of the hengeyokai, specifically the rabbit form (the flying ones are faster in the air). Its base land speed is 40 feet when in hybrid form (like there's really any other form to be).

If you have Green Ronin's Bastards and Bloodlines: Guide to Half-Breeds, there are a few good ones in there.

However, the wendigo (dwarf/winter wolf hybrid) has a +2 LA, 40 ft speed, +4 Str, +2 Con & Wis, -2 Int & Cha, scent, breath weapon, and favors barbarian (though the wisdom bonus makes me think monk may work, too).

That would be my pick.

Yup, the rabbit hengeyokai is the base race for the travel deity I mentioned earlier. :D

In the MM4 the Varag have a 60 base land speed, as well as free run and spring attack feats. At ECL of 5 (3 HD 2 LA) they're probably the fastest race you'll reasonably be able to play and still have class levels, well fastest on foot anyhow, flying races in general are faster than land races but also have higher ECL's.

Now if you play a raptoran (races of the wild) fighter, and take their racial sub levels and take levels in stormtalon you can get a fly speed of 90 iirc, maybe more, for no level adjustment. Granted most of the abilities of storm talon are pretty "meh" but they are based around movement if what you're looking for is a super fast character.

Half-Fey template. +2 LA, flight speed of double fastest movement speed. That's right, not double base land speed, double fastest movement speed.

Euh, Wendigo from which book? Fiend Folio it is a template with a 120 ft. perfect fly speed... and you become evil and stuff. Not really meant to be played.

Half-fey varag, fly 120 per round as a move action. Thats FAST. For a medium creature too, dragons, colossol and gargantuan ones, only move that fast, and they have clumsy manueverability! I'm sure this template gives you pretty good manueverability.

The feral template iirc also adds +10 to landspeed, so a feral varag could walk 70 feet per round, as well as have all those bad-ass feral bonuses.
