Which race for a low level Transmuter? [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-22-07, 04:26 PM I am interested in playing a Transmutation specialist or Sorcerer favoring transmutation magic for my next game and I was wondering what your opinions are on the best races to use?

Elan: Aberration not that many good ones for Alterself unless you want to simply gross people out.

Aasimar: Great for the sorcerer especially since their outsiders and I can use any of a large number of fun/powerful species like Sylph or Xorn.

Someone mentoned Silverbrow but I don't know where it is.

Are there any races without a level adjustment, that can get me either Dragon or Outsider?

Yep dragonwrought changes your type to "dragon" allowing you to assume the forms of wyrmling dragons of 5 HD or less with alterself. Only other thing I would recomend would be invest in a hat of disguise at low lvl it will save your life.
