So why don't Illumians (Races of Destiny) have a racial bonus to Int? They are practically all scholars and they are all about learning languages. If that doesn't ask for an Int bonus then nothing does. Plus they supposidly love being wizards. . .hello?

Actually, they love any class & multiclassing - which is why the sigils have bonus to skills / ability checks. You pretty much pick the two best for your chosen (multi)class.

They also have that mini-feat sigil for caster levels , but which works for all caster levels.

+2 to caster level when you multi class or +2 int (+1 bonus). Tough call.

Because, if they had an INT bonus, they would have to have a ability penalty of some sort. And if they had a penalty, that would get in the way of their status as the ultimate multi-classers which is the point of their race.

Seriously, it's actually hard to play a single class illumian.

Thanks, I didn't think of that. . .mostly I play single class characters and rely on prestige classes for fluff.

That, and wizards seems to think that a +2 mental stat bonus is always worth a +1 Level Adjustment, unless you're an elf.

They don't get an Int bonus because they're not as smart as you think they are.
