I play a human 8 lvl cleric, in a FR-campaign, with a winged template from savage species and I was thinking on "upgrading" him to a Half-celestial. How do I do that technical view and role-playing point of view?

Any ideas?

Well, half-celestials are born that way, not made so. So basically you need to consult with your DM about some way out there story plot that would allow you to change that. Like going back in time and getting your mother to copulate with a celestial instead of your current father or something...

You could just say that the flight aspect of your celestial heritage developed first, and the rest later. So you got access to wings earlier, and the discovery of your other special abilities at a later date. Just gloss over and say that your wings from the winged template are angel-like.:)

I would go ahead and mix those 2 pieces of advice. Consult your GM and see if the "powers developed later" story is good. However, some story might also be good, like maybe you just now learn of your heritage, but still cant activate your powers, so you set off on a quest(all the while gaining those 3 levels needed to use for the special powers) to discover why you cannot use your powers, and unlock them.
