Hey, this is a race I invented for my upcoming campaign.
I'm aware of the half-fey template, but I wanted something more specifically pixie-ish, so I just toned-down pixies.

Please tell me if you think its balanced for its LA (Please compare to Pixies as Characters (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/sprite.htm#pixie)):

Wood Sprites
In the great orc invasion of 642 CY, the fey of Vyalia were hit hard, particularly the Stargaze Pixies. When the invasion was finally beaten back by the elven Treeshield Clan, Lady Ceria Stargaze married Lord Aust Treeshield, and the Stargaze family was absorbed into the clan. Since then, pixie-elf couplings have become fairly common in that region, producing many so-called "wood sprites."

Wood sprites are the descendents of wood elves and pixies commonly found in the forests of Vyalia. Wood sprites possess the following racial traits:

- -2 str, -2 con, +4 dex, +2 wis, +2 cha.
- Type: Fey. Wood Sprites are fey, but they are treated as both fey and humanoid (elves) in regards to what spells and abilities effect them, or are effective against them (such as charm person or Resist Nature's Lure)
- Small size. +1 bonus to Armor Class, +1 bonus on attack rolls, +4 bonus on Hide checks, -4 penalty on grapple checks, lifting and carrying limits ¾ those of Medium characters.
- A pixie’s base land speed is 20 feet. It also has a fly speed of 60 feet (good).
- Low-light vision.
- Skills: Pixies have a +2 racial bonus on Listen, Search, and Spot checks. A wood sprite who passes with 5 feet of a secret or concealed door is entitled to a search check as if she was actively looking for it.
- Dodge and Weapon Finesse as bonus feats.
- +1 natural armor bonus.
-Immunity to magical sleep effects.
-Proficiency with the longsword, rapier, longbow, and shortbow (including composite bows).
- Spell-like abilities: 3/day: invisibility; 1/day: dancing lights, detect evil, detect law, entangle, enlarge person (self only), reduce person (self only).
- Automatic Languages: Common, Elven, Sylvan. Bonus Languages: Draconic, Gnoll, Gnome, Goblin, Halfling, Orc.
-Favored class: ranger.
-Level Adjustment: +2

I would prefer slightly less wisdom and some SR (10+HD, for example), it can help you survive with your fewer hitpoints.

Spell-like abilities combined with bonuses to all mental ability scores, along with the other factors, still seems a bit powerful for LA +2. I'd get rid of Wis and Int bonuses, but I'm not sure I'd add SR. Another option would be to reduce invisibility to once per day; it's a powerful ability.

Well, I figured that losing spell resitance, reducing their ability to stay greater invisible at will to only casting invisibility 3/day, cutting its damage reduction cut in half, making them vulnerable to humanoid spells, reducing int, cha, and dex by 4, and wis by 2, and reducing their spell-like ability list to just some flavorful 1st level spells, was enough to merit a decrease of 2 in LA.

However, it seems that pixies get ALOT for their LA perhaps?
Hmm, if I remove their DR completely, would that do it you think?

Pixies get all that for LA +4? That's nuts. I'm of the opinion that the LA adjustments are pretty screwed up. Yeah, remove the damage reduction and you're set. Playtesting will be the only real way to tell whether it works or not. Good luck with that. :)

Yeah, though their favored class is sorcerer which is dumb because no one in their right mind would play a LA +4 race, no matter good its abilities are.

Pixie rogues, however, kick the butt.

It was brought to my attention that the name "Sylvan Pixie" was lame, so I changed it to "wood sprite," which has a much nicer ring.

It would be much easier to read if you stated explicitly what abilities they do have, rather than which ones they don't have. You've done that to a point, but from an evaluation standpoint, it would be reasonable to list their flight speed & maneuverability, etc. Doing so is perfectly legal, because pixies are in the system reference document. And even if they weren't in the SRD, you could still post all the abilities of your custom race, because it is a custom race.
