Hi, i've been working on this for a week and this is what I have so far, this is the first race i have created and i would like to keep it LA 1. Please, be harsh.

Yenoduchie

+2 str, +2dex, -4 cha, +2 wis
Medium or large (see goliath- Races of Stone)
base land speed 40 ft
low light vision
darkvision
Special attacks: Inflict Lycnthropy (see lycanthrope- MM)
Attacks: Bite 1d4, Claw 1d6
Special qualities: Natural Cunning (Ex): Although yenoduchie are not especially intelligent, they possess innate cunning and logical ability. This gives them immunity to maze spells, prevents them from ever becoming lost, and enables them to track enemies. Further, they are never caught flat-footed.
Languages: Sylvan, Can speak with animals
Bonus languages: common, elven, gnome, giant, goblin, orc
Favored class: ranger
LA +1

Unlike most lycans The Yenoduchie only has a hybrid form.

remove the natural armor and then the LA would work

Two things I can see.
1. The Skinwalkers are called Yenaldooshi or Yea-Naa-gloo-shee according to Wikipedia, but that's no big deal.

2. As riftdragon said, get rid of the natural armor for a solid LA +1. That, or give it something else and bump it to a straight LA +2.

Why a race? From what is stated on wikipedia, they are belived to be humans who, over time and through divine magics and secret rituals, learn to take on teh shape of animals and inflict curses. Sounds kinda like an evil druid to me.

Mabey you should think about making some kinda of Druid/Hexblade class?

I saw a t.v. show on them that stated otherwise, but i'll look on wiki and see if I can get a class made
