if you take the feat spring attack and 2 weapon fighting. can you get a second attack with the spring attack, or is it just one attack. i know there are feats that give you and extra attack when you use spring attack. but just wondering if you get a second with just spring attack and two weapon fighting? or is this one of those things thats up to the DM?

No. If all you have is TWF and Spring Attack, you get one swing with one weapon during the springing.

No. No you do not get a second attack with your Spring Attack just for having Two Weapon Fighting.

It's up to the DM, just like it's up to the DM wether or not you can roll a Tumble check to make Tiamat's green head explode as an immediate action.

I believe there is a feat that allows you to attack with two weapons during a charge, or as a standard action. If you combine that feat with one of abilities that gives you an additional move action, then you'll get what you're looking for.

The psionic power Hustle, and some marital manuever from TOB, both give you an additional move action as a swift action.

No, just 1 attack with Spring Attack unless you have some of the PHB II "Spring Attack" enhancing feats.

in nearly all cases to attack with two weapons in the same round you have to use the full attack action*, spring attack does not allow you to use a full attack action, ergo, you can not attack with both weapons on a spring attack.

*certain monsters can attack with multiple "weapons" with out taking a full attack action, the hydra springs to mind, also there is a feat in the PHB II that allows a character to get two attacks as part of a spring attack, and thus a two weapon wielder could get an attack with each weapon that way (although in this case the second attack is at -5 no matter which weapon you use).

Don't forget that any attacks made with your off hand (even if you don't make any attacks with your primary hand) take a -4 penalty. PHB p311.

There is also the Tempest PrC in Complete Adventurer that lets you spring attack with two weapons as a 5th level special ability.

Of course, that means you can't gain that ability until at least character level 11 if not later, and by then you should have 6 attacks if you stood still and made a full attack.

true I should ahve been more specific the -5 I was refering to is in addition to any other penalties to be applied.

Sorry if this is off topic, but the OP might also be interested in the Dual Strike feat from CV, which lets you attack with two weapons as a standard action.

And there is also the Double Hit feat from the MH, which lets you attack with two weapons on an AoO.

The things is, Spring Attack doesn't give you a standard action in the middle. It gives you one attack.

A very good point, and a subtle difference that many people overlook.

Two weapon spring attack is a class ability of... I belive Tempest from Complete Warrior.

Edit: Heh... sorry, I skimmed the thread. <_<
