| ThePope03-14-07, 02:09 AM | So I got a Swordsage. I went the Finesse/TWF route but now that I've gotten the required stuff out of the way I'm having issues picking my later feats (seems a trend from looking around at some other threads) 1: Adaptive Style, Shadow Blade 3: Weapon Finesse 6: TWF 9: Imp TWF those are set in stone (ie I'm level 9 :D) however 12, 15, and 18 are rather up in the air. Was thinking that I'd take Greater TWF at 15. What that leaves us with is... 12 and 18, and if you have some juicy 3 feat chain to suggest I'll listen :) |
| Xeviat-DM03-14-07, 02:12 AM | Well, if you're looking for simplicity, improved critical can be fun. Since you seem to be focusing on Shadow Hand stances, probably assassin's stance, you might want to consider the Shadow Hand tactical feat. Grabbing Two-Weapon Defense couldn't hurt either. |
| ThePope03-14-07, 02:27 AM | ah yes tactics... i actually use either Assasin's stance or Island of Blades, depending on whether i can get around the target. in the case of a unflankable target i'll whip out the trusty Stone Dragon greatclub and enter Giant's Stance. |
| MerlintheTuna03-14-07, 03:25 AM | Improved Buckler Defense. Beats the tar out of Two-Weapon Defense. |
| TheMagister03-14-07, 07:27 AM | Improved Buckler Defense. Beats the tar out of Two-Weapon Defense. Quoted for truth. |
| MourninStar03-14-07, 01:42 PM | Sudden Recovery and Vital Recovery are both useful. 2 Wpn Punce and 2 Wpn Rend will let you get even more out of your TWF. |
| ZiggZagg03-14-07, 01:47 PM | Improved Buckler Defense would do more harm than good, as the Swordsage cannot benifit from his Wisdom to AC if he wears a Buckler |
| ThePope03-15-07, 02:07 AM | that and Imp Buckler Defense requires shield proficiency... ack, and i'm AFB and suddenly having issues remembering feat details. what's the action for Sudden Recovery? is it immediate? cause i'm thinking that personally my only use for it atm would be readying Moment of Perfect Mind or Mind Over Body when i suddenly needed them... however if it doesn't let me do that (and i'm guessing it doesn't) then i'm not too excited. TWPounce - it allows an attack with each hand at the end of a charge? if thats correct... how would it work with something like Pouncing Charge that lets me make a full attack? if i Searing Charge do i get 2 attacks? TWRend - 1d6+1.5 STR right? any time i hit with both weapons? or... when? jebus i feel dumb asking all this, i need to just keep my books with me 24/7 or something. |
| Xeviat-DM03-15-07, 04:25 AM | You don't need TWPounce if you have the Pouncing Charge maneuver. |
