Lupo1977 12-16-07, 06:01 AM	hello for a character build i look for a feat that gives a +1 on caster levels for damage spells (like cold / acid / force...), poissible for a level 4 arcane caster. (preferably a warmage) i already found "elemental spellcasting" from planar handbook, but this only works with fire spells, because water/earth/air doesn´t match the descriptor of (in example) an orb of cold. i want to build an arcane caster for the "undermountain" rpga campaign. starting level is 4 , and i am thinking about a warmage with feats that make his spells stronger. with elemantal spellcasting it counts as casterlevel 5 so i could do 3d8 damage with a lesser orb of fire, if i take this right ? any other ideas ?
Egres 12-16-07, 06:06 AM	Check out the Reserve feats in Complete Mage. Many of them give a +1 competence bonus to your caster level when casting elemental/force spells.
Lupo1977 12-16-07, 06:22 AM	thanks - good hint. unfortunatly a warmage doesn´t qualify for these feats on level 4, because you need to be able to cast 2nd level spells, which happens on level 4, but you gain the feat on lvl 3... ... so maybe i instead go for a wizard who specializes in "evocation" and take a reserve feat on level 3...
runestar 12-16-07, 06:33 AM	Thematic spellcasting (PGTF) lets you designate 1 spell/spell lv as a thematic spell (which gives it +1caster lv and -4 dc on spellcraft checks to ID it). The bloodline of fire regional feat (PGTF) gives you +2 caster lv on fire spells.
