I think i saw a feat somewhere that let's you ignore up to 5 DR and hardness as long as you dealt enough damage to hurt the thing anyway. Am I confused, or does this exist, and where is it at? Thanks!

Sounds kinda like a Monk feat in the PHB2 whose name I can't remember. Splitting Water Strike, Splitting Stone Strike? Something like that.

At any rate, it's just 5 points of DR. Just Power Attack. :)

I could've sworn that there were some Feats or even Epic Feats that said your weapon is this or that purely for getting through DR, but with no other effects tied to this or that (as one might normally have).

I.E.; have a wooden sword that acts like adamantine to break through DR... but still just a wooden sword in the end.

Power Attack involves actually having that feat :p.
Anything else that works along these lines?

Sense Weakness. It's in the Draconomicon, and it overcomes the first 5 points of DR if you cannot overcome it.

Ah, that's it, thanks. Hmm, need Weapon Focus and all that jazz.

The feat is Water Splitting Stone. In summary: You deal +4 damage when striking a creature who's DR you can't bypass.

Power Attack is right. If you're wielding a two-hander, five points of DR is just a -3 to hit (and you get a point of damage left over).

The feat is Water Splitting Stone.

Do I get partial credit for remembering all the words? :)

It's an epic feat. Lets you and your melee weapons count as a material for overcoming DR, and can take it multiple times. Penetrate damage reduction.
