| Slaywraith05-04-07, 09:26 PM | I was flipping trough my books qite a while ago and thought that I found a feat that could reduce the type of an action by one step (standard to move, ect.), but I can't find itanymore and I'm wondering if I just THOUGHT I saw it. Can Anyone help me out here? And if it does exist: would it be possible, if by taking it you could reduce a Warlock's Eldritch Blast from a Standard to an Attack Action (or less), to have a Warlock with multiple att/round to continue to attack with EB until he runs out of attacks? (Personally, I believe it would work. Magical Machine-gun, anyone?):schemes: :fight!: :mage: :dragon: |
| JulesCARV05-04-07, 09:46 PM | Well, there's the Psionic Meditation feat, which reduces the time to gain psionic focus from a full round action to a move action. A general feat that allows a one-step reduction of the cost of any action? I haven't heard of it, and cannot conceive of how it would be balanced, except perhaps as some type of high-epic feat. (and I do mean a high epic feat, of the sort that requires 45 ranks in some kind of skill, a chain of 15 feats, and the like, not just something any ol' fool can take at level 25) |

| Slaywraith05-04-07, 09:52 PM | Actually, after thinking on it a bit more, I think the feat does the job for abilities that are Supernatural, Extraordinary, or some such thing. I am still absolutely certain that I saw it SOMEWHERE, but it isn't a Metamagic or MSLA feat (I think) Still Looking..... |

| DarkRhystar05-05-07, 01:37 PM | Quicken SLA only works 3 times a day. The one I'm thinking of PERMANENTLY reduces the action selected in time. I've never seen such a feat. Hope I never do. It's probably in some lousy 3rd party splat book whose writer had his head up his rear and didn't know the meaning of play testing. :D |
| Tempest Stormwind05-05-07, 01:42 PM | There's also two blast shapes that give you what you're looking for: Eldritch Chain (jumps from target to target, effectively letting you make multiple attacks) and Eldritch Glaive (which explicitly lets you make multiple attacks with it and even threatens an area when it isn't your turn). The latter is in Dragon Magic. If you've seen a generic "take less of an action" feat, then it was obviously written by someone who had exactly no idea what he was talking about... or perhaps he never grasped what causality was, that his change would have consequences. |
