| AAB06-18-07, 04:08 PM | 1.) i don't quite know what you're asking here. if you're asking whether all your maneuvers become unspent, then i would say yes. 2.) no, you can't. |
| Tempest Stormwind06-18-07, 04:18 PM | Stop thinking of maneuvers as if they were spells. Martial adepts do not act like casters. A given maneuver can either be "ready" or "not ready". If it is "ready", it can also be "not expended" or "expended". (Crusaders have a third option there (Withheld) but we'll keep it simple.) You can't ready a maneuver more than once any more than you can flip a normal switch to "Double On". You don't have "slots" to fill; you can just sustain a certain number of maneuvers with the switches in "ready" at once. When you use Adaptive Style, you essentially ready maneuvers as if you were spending 5 minutes out of combat to do. When you ready a maneuver, that maneuver becomes "readied" and "not expended". Thus, if you use Mountain Hammer (it is expended) and you use Adaptive Style, choosing to ready Mountain Hammer as one of the maneuvers, Mountain Hammer is now "not expended". Yes, this makes Adaptive Style a feat that every swordsage should take. |
