Adding perform as a class skill [Archive] - Wizards Community

So I'm working on a multiclassed character and want to find a way to get into sublime chord without adding another core class (so as to avoid XP penalties). Virtuoso would do the trick but I cannot meet the perform requirement until far too late. I thought that I remembered a feat that allowed you to choose a skill and treat it as a class skill for all classes, but I can no longer find it.

Does anyone know if this feat really exists, what its called, where I can find it, or an alternate way of getting perform on my list of class skills? Thanks in advance.

Skill Knowledge (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/buildingCharacters/alternativeSkillSystems.htm#skillKnowled ge).

No offence, but how were you going to get into the Sublime Cord without the bardic music prerequisite? If you have that, then you will also have Perform as a class skill?

I believe Virtuoso grants the bardic music ability, does it not? Im away from my books at the moment (finals week, ugg), but Ill check when I get home.

Err. I thought it did. But I'm not sure.

What classes are you trying to use?

Double checked, Virtuoso does it.

I'm looking at (I know its sub-optimal, but Im open to suggestions) going
Psion 3/Wiz3/cerebromancer3/Somehow get bardic music 1/sublime chord 1/finish cerebromancer

I could conceivable do it by taking divine oracle instead of the third level of wizard, but I am loathe to blow a feat on skill focus knowledge religion.

Maybe Lore Master (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/prestigeClasses/loremaster.htm)? it kind of depends on how you interpret the lore ability...

Lore
At 2nd level, a loremaster gains the ability to know legends or information regarding various topics, just as a bard can with bardic knowledge. The loremaster adds her level and her Intelligence modifier to the lore check, which functions otherwise exactly like a bardic knowledge check.
It works like bardic knowledge and in some cases stacks with bardic knowledge... but it may not be bardic knowledge for the purposes of prc and feat prerequisites. It depends on how RAW your DM wants to get... it would still be sub-optimal, though.

Amaranth needs Bardic Music, not Bardic Knowledge.

There is a feat in Dragon #326 called Flexible Mind.
You have to buy a rank in the skill first, but then you should be OK.
You can meet the prereqs for Virtuoso by level 7, and it will give you the Bardic Music for Sublime Cord.

The feat allows you to choose two skills, and that might be good considering some of the skill requirements for SC.
