The only reason to take agile shield fighter is you can fight with a one-handed weapon (heavy shield) as an off-hand attack with only a -2 penalty. Basically do these do feats stack or not, RAW? |
| DarkSorcerer03-22-07, 04:02 PM | These Feats would not stack. Agile Shield Fighter is very specific. From Crystal Keep: "When making a Full Round Attack with a weapon and a Shield Bash, the penalty is –2 on each, instead of whatever the penalty would have been (i.e., due to not having Two-Weapon Fighting, etc.)." Since a heavy shield is a one-handed weapon, the penalty would be -4/-4 with the two weapon fighting feat or -6/-10 without it. (SRD) You would need a kind DM to house rule that these feats stacked. BTW, if I read things correctly, you would need Improved two weapon fighting in order to take a second attack with a shield bash (assuming +6/+1 BAB), so there is actually a reason to take two weapon fighting. |
