Aid Another - Craft [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-25-07, 04:12 PM Quick question: how many assistants is it reasonable to say one could have while using the craft skill? Name weapon or armor smithing? Not super-educated on the processes involved in real life, but in my head the answer comes up as 4-5. Any opinions?

03-25-07, 04:29 PM No more than two. There is only so much room around one piece of metal and in front of a forge. While some things like riveting can be done independently, you still have to closely supervise, or else the assistant is using his own skill and making his own check.
