So If I cast a Maximized Melfs Acid Arrow, is the damage maxed in the first round only or all rounds the spell is in effect? I looked thru the FAQ and can't find mention of this situation, but I thought I read about it omewhere before.
If you can give an answer, please list a reference I can look up.
Thanks.

Maximize Spell (Metamagic)
Benefit: All variable, numeric effects of a spell modified by this feat are maximized.

Seems pretty cut-and-dry to me. The subsequent damage is still a "variable, numeric effect of a spell modified by this feat", so yes, it's maximized.

I thought I had read that it was only the damge for the first round, but unless someone comes up with a better answer, I accept yours.
Thanks

I would have to agree that it would be max damage every round since you are giving up a spell slot 3 levels higher to use it. I would suggest asking the sage since most of the examples have duration instantaneous.

There's no need for that, the feat's text is quite clear: it works just like Maximize Spell, i.e., it applies to the entire duration.
