| Razorgrin03-30-07, 02:46 PM | I could swear I'd seen a feat called Throwback (or something to that effect) that essentially rolled your character back one step, speaking evolutionarily. It was something like +2 Str and Con, -4 Int and Cha; selectable only at first level. The more I look for it, the more I'm convinced I made it up. I've convinced myself that it was, in fact, a Wizards-published feat, but it's possible I'm misremembering that. Anyone have any insight? |

See, I thought it was in Frostburn, too, but I couldn't find it. Maybe I'm just stupid? The primeval PrC is actually one of the reasons I was looking for that feat. I wanted to build a character that's the Neanderthal (in the evolutionary sense, not the D&D racial sense) version of a half-orc; brutally strong but brutally stupid. |
| Krusk03-31-07, 06:53 PM | There is also the neanderthal race in frostburn which is essentially that. |
| Gagnrath03-31-07, 09:17 PM | Also look similair to the feral trait in savage species . Not identical but same vein of thought and that adds even nice toys for a +1 lvl adjustment. Had a DM that let me play a one time adventure with a feral barbarian neadnerthral with a couple of levels of beserker (the dieties and demigods beserk not the frenzied type.) was an amazing melee hulk but I dreaded ever seeing a wizard or cleric unless raging.. |
