| Ekko01-01-08, 11:01 AM | Awesome. Thanks! That means I can take my 1st level of Anima mage at 4th level, and get free soulbinding! |
| Realms of Chaos01-01-08, 11:45 PM | What do you mean, free soulbinding? Your effective binder level is increased but you are still limited to low level vestiges, only get one at a time, and only get one ability from it (or two, if you take the third related feat). |
| Ekko01-01-08, 11:57 PM | No... My Anima Mage levels stack with my Binder levels for determining my Soulbinding ability. Bind Vestige (and the following feats) don't actually give you the Soulbinding ability, so the Anima Mage levels don't increase their effective binder level, but add their own. A Wiz3/Bind7/Anima 10 can use soulbinding as a 17th level binder, and a Wiz3/Anima 10/Anything7 can use soulbinding as a 10th level binder. He also, because of the wording in Bind Vestige, can still use the feats (as he does not actually take a level in Binder, and thus doesn't invalidate the feat). |
| InkBlot01-02-08, 01:03 AM | That's not how it works. Anima Mage improves your Binder levels, so if you don't have any Binder levels to improve then that class feature is wasted. It's just like if you take a "+1 caster level" prestige class without any existing caster levels. |
