| TheMonk10-06-07, 08:43 AM | Alright, I was wondering something about this feat. Let's say I'm a fighter2/wizard3 with this feat. As a generalist wizard with 2 2nd level spells per day, do I prepare a healing spell (let's say I chose the healing domain) as one of the 2 spells per day allowed to me, or do I keep my 2 extra arcane spells per day, and gain a 3rd spell of second level, which is Cure moderate wounds? Thanks :) |

Thanks a lot for the info :) Just one more question, if I choose this feat as a wizard and gain the ability to cast cure spells for example, do I need to research these spells to be able to prepare them or can I prepare them from memory like a cleric? |

| Merestil Haye10-06-07, 10:27 AM | Arcane Disciple adds the spells to the character's class spell list. It does not add the spells to his or her list of spells known. The character must then expend resources to learn the spells the way he or she normally learns spells. To translate : A wizard taking the AD feat for the Healing domain has to add the spells to his or her spellbook either as one of the spells gained when levelling up or by expending the time and resources to scribe the spell into his or her spellbook. A Sorcerer has to use one of his or her Spells Known slots to learn the spell. Extra Spell will allow the character to learn the spell, because it is on his or her class spell list. Finally, a Warmage or Beguiler benefit most from this feat. They get to learn all the spells on their class spell list, and AD adds spells to their class spell list. Preparing and casting the spells suffer from special restrictions, particularly that the casting of spells runs off Wisdom and not the regular spellcasting ability. Since the feat says nothing about granting additional spell slots to cast these spells with, it does not do so. |

But I guess Merestil is right here though, thanks for that info :) |
