Isn't there a feat tat lets you NOT draw attacks of opportunity when using a bow with foes adjacent to you?

A feat that was equivalent to the "Arrow Mind" spell.

Its a class feature of Order of the Bow in Complete Warrior. There is a feat called Defensive Archery in Races of the Wild that gives you a bonus to AC for the attack of opportunity. Thats all I know on this subject.

It's Epic
COMBAT ARCHERY [EPIC]
Prerequisites: Dodge, Mobility, Point Blank Shot.

Benefit: The character does not incur any attacks of opportunity for firing a bow when threatened.

Normal: Without this feat, a character incurs an attack of opportunity from all opponents who threaten him or her whenever he or she uses a bow.

5' Waltz [General]

Prerequisites: Speed 5 or greater. Ability to draw attacks of opportunity.

Benefit: You may take a 5' step before performing an action that would normally provoke an attack of opportunity. If you are still within a threatened area, you will still provoke; but, if you are out of a threatened area, will will not provoke.

Special: You can only take this feat at level one. This feat is free and does not count against your standard allotment of feats.

This may not be exactly what your looking for; but, I do think it helps.

I have to ask, are you serious or is this a joke? if you are serious where did you get this and how old is it?

This is part of normal rules. This is from the srd:
Take 5-Foot Step
You can move 5 feet in any round when you don’t perform any other kind of movement. Taking this 5-foot step never provokes an attack of opportunity. You can’t take more than one 5-foot step in a round, and you can’t take a 5-foot step in the same round when you move any distance.
You can take a 5-foot step before, during, or after your other actions in the round.
You can only take a 5-foot-step if your movement isn’t hampered by difficult terrain or darkness. Any creature with a speed of 5 feet or less can’t take a 5-foot step, since moving even 5 feet requires a move action for such a slow creature.
You may not take a 5-foot step using a form of movement for which you do not have a listed speed.

Everyone can do this already and doesnt need to include this feat (that is not a feat) on their chara sheet.

Sorry, I thought this line was the dead giveaway:

I should use more emoticons! ;)

Asside from what has already been mentioned, there is a spell in Complete Adventurer that prevent AoOs when shooting and allows the shooter to threaten their normal reach while using a bow.

I recently played a Battle Sorcerer (Unearned Arcana) / Scout (Comp Adv) and made great use of that spell.

Judging by the number of non-feat suggestions. I would say no.

You either have to dip into Bow Initiate, or wait until epic.

I seem to remember a feat in one of the more recent books I've read. I don't have my books handy, but i'll take a look when I get home. May even have been a skill trick.

Defensive Archery from RotW gives a respectable +4 Dodge bonus to AC when taking an AoO from firing in melee. I don't know if I'd take it unless I was a Fighter who completely specialized in archery, though. Even then, 5-foot waltzing and Arrow Mind seem to be the best options.

Or take a level of some arcane caster to get the Arrow Mind spell which as a swift action does prevent AOO for archery in melee.

For non-caster route though the Order of the Bow is a good choice.

It must have been that defensive archery feat I was thinking of. sorry.

Nothing to be sorry about. I've had similar 'memories' that turned out to be mistaken.

At least we came up with a few options for the OP.
