The feat Ascetic Rogue from Complete adventurer is causing me trouble.
I checked the Errata and this isnt mentioned.

Om page 104 on the feat table it says the feat makes "Monk and Rogue levels stack for sneak attack damage, unarmed strike sneak attack gains improved stunning dc"

but then on page 106 in the full feat description it makes no mention of sneak attack stacking, and states that the levels also stack for unarmed strike damage.

It seems to me there are two possible explainations.
that the sentence in the feat table meant Unarmed Strike Damage, and someone accidentally typed Sneak attack damage instead.

or

That the feat chart should read "Sneak attack AND unarmed strike damage.", and that the feat description forgot to mention sneak attack and the feat chart forgot to mention unarmed strike.

the first option seems more likely, but i dont have an official answer.
Does anyone know if this has been clarified somewhere?

The feat was probably changed several times during development and the table didn't get updated. It happens all the time.

In cases like this the rule is that the feat's text is the primary source and overrides the table.

Looking at the text of the other Ascetic feats, I would go with the Unarmed Attack Damage being the thing that allows stacked levels. The Ascetic feats are good, they don't just make it possible for a monk to multi-class, they make it desirable.

Actually, this is mentioned.

When the text within a product contradicts itself, our
general policy is that the primary source (actual rules
text) is correct and any secondary reference (such as a
table or character's statistics block) is incorrect.
Exceptions to the rule will be called out specifically.
