| ThroteCutter12-14-07, 08:03 PM | My friend is designing a 20th level fighter who will cause as many attacks of opportunities as possible. He has Robilar’s Gambit, letting him make an AoO each time he gets attacked. He also has a high enough tumble to fall prone then make the DC35 tumble check to get up as a free action. Since it doesn't say that free stand does not provoke an attack of opportunity, can he make 16 attacks a round, 12 at his highest base attack bonus? Is this right? Any thoughts on this? |

| CmdrCorsiken12-14-07, 08:23 PM | Yes, please explain how he gets 16 AoOs.... |
| ThroteCutter12-14-07, 08:34 PM | Sorry, I wasn't very clear. He duel wields weapons. His dex lets him make 6 AoO but he has Double Hit (from some Mini's bok or something) letting him attack with both weapons on attacks of opportunities. Then with his full attack, he can make a few more attacks. And he can make all his attacks of opportunities by being attacked because he is falling down and getting up really fast. |

Also, just because he falls down and gets up doesn't mean that his opponent has to make an Attack of Opportunity. His opponent can choose to not take the attack of opportunity. On a side note...even if it's a free action to fall prone and a free action to stand up, I'd think that the DM would decide that falling down and standing up 300 times per round (exageration) would take up more than just a free action. I'm still confused about how he's getting 16 attacks per round though. Even with Perfect Two Weapon Fighting he's only getting 8. If he makes 4 attacks of opportunity his double hit feat would give him 8 more attacks, so I guess I could see that working. I'd like to think that an opponent would figure out a new tactic after getting hit that many times though. The most obvious weakness would be to use ranged attacks on him. Where things get really crazy is when he fights someone else who has Robilar's Gambit and they go into a chain of AoOs on each other. |
| CryoSilver12-14-07, 09:27 PM | Karmic Strike with Robilar's Gambit means two AoOs per attack. |
| dman1123512-15-07, 12:33 AM | No two attacks per opportunity. |
