Augment Healing and Vigor spells [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-31-07, 04:53 AM Hello folks,
how does the Augment Healing feat work together with Vigor Spells. I've got a druid at CL 6 so i am at the maximum of rounds for Lesser Vigor(15). Now,

a)Do I get 2 extra heal in the first round
b)Do I get 2 extra heal in a round of my choice
c)Do I get two more rounds to a limit of 17
d)Do I heal 3 points per round(this might be a kind of powergaming^^)
e)Do I get no more benefits from my feat
f)something else?

I must say that I am not a native speaker, so maybe the answer is in reading the books carefully.

07-31-07, 05:52 AM Your target heals 2 points of damage when you cast the spell (from the feat), afterwards he heals 1 points per round as of the spell.

07-31-07, 11:13 AM That is correct. 2 immediately, then the feat no longer affects the spells.

Also note that the 2 extra healing happens on the caster's initiative, the spell's fast healing on the target's initiative. This might matter if something goes between them.

The same as it always worked.

You get 2 from A.H. when the spell is casted.
You get 1 point from L.V. on the target player's next turn and for the next 14 turns.

What makes you think this behaves different than normal?

08-01-07, 03:22 PM FYI, Vigor doesns't heal, it provides Fast Healing which is different.

We have Augment Healing work as if it was a Cure spell (adds the 2 HP/spell lvl when cast).

Vigor is a conjuration (healing) spell and Augment works of conjuration (healing) spells, so by RAW, despite it granting Fast Healing it does apply.

Though I took me reading someone on the boards of maybe in the FAQ or something to realise this myself.
