Augment Summoning Each creature you conjure with any summon spell gains a +4 enhancement bonus to Strength and Constitution for the duration of the spell that summoned it. Found here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/feats.htm#augmentSummoning). Calling a mount is a conjuration (calling) effect. Found here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/classes/paladin.htm). While not necessarily the best use of two feats (you still need Focus: Conjuration) it could be an interesting combination for a paladin/summoner build (such as a Cleric 5/Thaumaturgist 5/Paladin 10). |

Technically, the Special Mount ability is not a spell and is a Conjuration (calling) effect, and the feat specifically mentions "summon spells" which are Conjuration (summoning). I'd allow it with proper lack of munchkinism, though. |

If you want to sink a feat or two to beef up your mount, get a cohort for you mount (rules are in the DMG). If its extraplanar, your DM might allow you to still summon it, giving you essentially the same effect. A Celestial warhorse would be good (for double celestial-ness). |
| tarkin04-06-07, 01:04 PM | There are in fact feats to upgrade your Mount. The Feat Celestial Mount (BOED) has pre-reqs of Paladin level 4 The feat Winter's Mount (Frostburn) has only the pre-req of a special mount ability. |
