If a monster hits a PC using awesome blow and reduces him to negatives with that hit, does he still get his reflex save to avoid being flung back the 10ft?

Generally, I would say that the damage comes first, then the saving throw. Someone unconscious can't really move their body so they don't get flung.

I don't know about that. I would say they still get flung. Just because you get hit doesn't take away the fact that you just caught a baseball swing. I would say if they still get flung, and you want to give them a reflex save, just make them do it with like a penalty equal to their negative hit points. I personally would just say "you catch the hit, and you fly through the air and are now knocked out cold."

You still get a reflex save even when unconscious or paralyzed, though your dex is 0.

So the sequence would go like this:

1) Foe activates awesome blow, hits you, reduces you to negative hp.
2) You make a reflex save, though your dex is now zero (so your check is penalized accordingly).

Would magic items adjust your dex back above 0?
