There is a weapon style feat in the new Drow book that gives you some bonuses when using Javelins and lets you use them without penalty in melee. It is not drow specific and could be taken by anyone if I understand correctly. There is acutally a surprising number of non Drow specifc and generally useful feats in this book. To my knowledge there is absolutely no other way anywhere to do that. I thought it was pretty interesting. Then again I am a fan of ranged (all kinds and also thrown weapons. There is also a prestige class which allows you to use a Spiked Chain as a one handed weapon. Primarily though I am stoked about the Javelin feat. Tsh77769
