some good options:

Improved Initiative
Skill Focus (perform)
Extra Music
Force of Personality (adds CHA bonus to will saves)

Skill Focus (perform)

Does that effect all performs or just one.

Only one category, eg. SF(Perform: Oratory)

What kind of bard do you see yourself as?
Do you plan to have a focus, eg. music, spellcasting, combat?
Or just a general bit-of-everything kinda bard?

This is an unwise bard that likes to adventure and play his fiddle almost all the time so...

This is an unwise bard that likes to adventure and play his fiddle almost all the time so...Hmm, Lingering Song (Complete Adventurer) works well for a musical Bard (and take Song of the Heart later on, if you can take Eberron feats). Improved Initiative is always nice, as well. If you have a fiddle out, then you're going to have your hands full, so weapon feats are probably not as worth it. Stick with feats that improve your music or spellcasting. Or, if you want, you can take Obscure Lore (Complete Adventurer again), and improve your Bardic Knowledge. I think that would make for an interesting character, a folksy halfling fiddler with lots of stories.

Skill Focus is okay, I suppose. One thing that it'll do is make your Fascinate checks really difficult to defeat. It's kind of overkill, though.
