I'm looking for a feat similar to the Ascetic Hunter (stuff stacks between like Monk and Ninja or whatever) type feats but for Bard and Paladin, namely the ability to multiclass freely between the two would be great.

I swear I've seen it, I just can't for the life of me remember where, am I imagining? If not, what book is it in?

Thanks

Almost every sourcebook with Paladin material, if not all, assume you use the Laeful Good Paladin, and none of its variants. As Paladins must be Lawful Good, and Bards can't be Lawful, this feat won't exist.

EDIT: And according to DM Zoc, there is one. Damn my logic :(

Devoted Performer as DM Zoc said, it's lets you be a LG Bard if you're also a paladin.

It also lets you continue to level as a bard even though you are Lawful. (You still must be LG for the paladin stuff.)

It doesnt help you rationalize how you got to be a multiclassed bard/paladin in the first place though.

Devoted Performer lets you be a LG bard and level. Knight's Training from the ECS let's you go back to Paladin and increase your levels.

It is specific to the bard class, where as Kight Training is more versatile in letting you pick a second class, but if you already know you are going paladin/bard, I think Devoted Performer is the better way to go.

So basically you go... Bard 1... then become Lawful Good, then go Pally 2 picking up Devoted Performer and then you pick up, say... 1 more level of Pally and go back to Bard for however long you like.

Hmm...

I actually rather like that build... I wonder if there's a way to get to Fochlucan Lyrist through Bard, Pally... You'd need to go a few more levels of Pally then normal and pick up what, two Rogue levels? Ah! It almost works! You have to be neutral and nonlawful! I think I'm going to make an NPC one with that build anyway. I think it could be an intriguingly effective blend...

Hmm...Or back to pally again. I think it works better when you concentrate more on one than the other, but which one is a flavor choice.

Oh! Damn Druid! I forgot about having to speak Druidic! Grr...

I don't care! I'm making the NPC! *raspberry*

Of course, the easiest way is to houserule away the completely ridiculous alignment restriction on the Bard, but that's just my opinion. :D

A druid could teach you Druidic. He'd just need to atone afterwards.

As for the "logic" of it (I don't think bard alignment restrictions are logical to begin with):

You travel as a bard for a few levels, and then you are called to be a paladin. It isn't something they choose to do.

You pretty much have to start as a bard for it to make sense though, unless you want to atone.
