Battle dancer feat useless?? ( almost) [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-06-07, 12:12 PM My Bard just turned 6th level.

i was looking through PHB2 and saw what i thought was a cool feat....Battle dancer.

Then when I read it i noticed that it gives you a +2 morale bonus when you are using your bardic music.

If you are using your Bardic music you are getting a +1 morale bonus already. Since they are both morale bouses they dont stack.

Then when you get to 8th level the bardic music morale bonus goes to +2 and then the feat becomes totally useless.

Am I missing something?

Not to mention that I currently have the spell "Inspirational boost" which make my bardic music morale bonus a +2 , and it's a swift action spell.

12-06-07, 12:14 PM It's not much of a feat, but it's OK if you've just dipped into bard and took the extra music feat.

I think it would be better if it instead increased your morale bonus from the music by one. And the conditions to keep it going are overly complicated too... just have it last as long as you are performing.

12-06-07, 04:34 PM It's a pretty crappy feat, but it would also work if instead of using inspire courage, you were instead using inspire greatness. That way, your ally gets a boost and you get a free boost as well.

Exactly. It's best when you're not actually using Inspire Courage.
