So, if Bluff is a full-round action, then you literally cannot lie and walk at the same time in D&D-land.

Why waste time on Detect Lie and other spells of that nature when all you have to do to ensure that whoever you are talking to is telling the truth is to WALK with them while you talk to them? You could even just walk around and around inside of a room.

Weird place, D&D-land. Very weird.

Interesting... This one goes up there with the 1,000-commoners-in-a-row rail gun!

It would seem reasonable to allow for a Bluff anytime the character isn't doing anyting too strenuous or distracting (perhaps anytime they would normally be allowed to take 10).

As a standard action, you can start a full round action, and then complete it with another standard action next round. So you could make a bluff over two rounds while walking your speed, no problem.

Also, you're really only supposed to keep careful track of rounds in combat. Out of combat, just don't worry about it.

I was going to suggest something like that, but I didn't know there was actually a rule for it. Awesome! Learn something new every day!

Get them to double move, or run, and your 'over more than one round' thing is nerfed. :)

Also, much like many quiz show hosts through the ages (well, a decade or two) I'd only accept answers within the first 6 seconds. :)

Yes, the Grand Inquisitor's most effective device for discerning the truth in the words of his "guests" is... a treadmill?

i think that the full round bluff you are talking about is only in combat, otherwise its a useful tool for conversation, but i imagine that out of combat you could be doing whatever and still get it....

now you could also lie without bluffing. and you could do that while doing whtever.

Bluffing made as part of "normal interaction" takes at least 1 round. There's no reason to assume this could not be done while walking (which is half combat speed). You're not using the tactical resolution system at that point so which actions can be performed simultaneously is up to the DM.

Bluffing to create a distraction or to feint is a standard action, leaving you a move action (at hustle speed) if you need to move as well.
