Is it possible to combine the leap attack feat with the heedless charge manuever from "Shock trooper" tactic to divert all The penalty from PA to AC (using the Full BAB for it) and getting it trippled due to the leap attack feat (while using a two handed weapon)?

Also. Can one use the Momentum swing manuever from "Combat Brute" tactic on the next turn, after using the headless charge manuever, to triple one's damage as well (with a two handed weapon)- since the heedless charge fills the first round requierments of the momentum swing.

thanks for the help

Try the character Optimization board. More rules crunchers on there.

As far as I know, it's legit.

Yes, you can. But you should read the errata, leap attack now does +100% power attack damage instead of 3:1; so you're effectively making the damage x4.

They don't conflict with each other in the slightest; so long as you meet the conditions for both, why would both NOT apply?

For the record, if you're looking for huge charge damage, feel free to pull things out of the Lancer or UberERcharger in my sig. The CO boards will laugh at you if you don't do a bit of your own homework first, and those threads are where people tend to get sent if they want a charger.

If memory serves, the original wording of the feat is that it doubles the bonus damage from power attack, which makes it 4:1 with a 2-hander and also allows for great obscenities with the frenzied berserker, who gets a 4:1 benefit from Supreme Power Attack, which would make it 8:1 (now it would be limited to 5:1 if I'm working it out right).

The errata can be found on Wizards' site (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/er/20040125a).

Same place as any other errata -- the main D&D website.

Let me know if i got it right.. so +100% means that if i am using a two handed weapon and using say a -5 penalty to attack- which would normaly be converted into +10 to damage- with leap attack i will do +20 (which mean 1:4)- if i am correct isnt it better than the original 1:3?

yes, +100% of what you would normally do with your weapon, for 2handers 2:1 is the normal ratio, so a -5 penalty would net you +20 damage.

It's ambiguous, it depends on how you read the special entry for power attack. I'm away from my books so I can't check how it was originally worded in Complete Adventurer. I think the intent of the errata was so that it would still have the same effect as in Complete Adventurer but close off abuses by stacking with things like Supreme Power Attack for obscene damage bonuses.

If memory serves, the original wording gave you a 3:1 ratio with a 2-hander, which would imply that the +100% statement is that you gain +100% of the amount you subtracted from your to-hit roll and that's what they mean by "normal damage bonus".

If I'm wrong about the original effect of the feat then please let me know.

The effect of the +100% wording is made more clear in the complete adventurer errata:

'Supreme Power Attack: A 10th-level frenzied
berserker deals +100% the normal damage from her use
of the Power Attack feat. In other words, when using
the Power Attack feat, a frenzied berserker wielding a
two-handed weapon gains a +4 bonus on damage rolls
(instead of a +2 bonus) for each –1 penalty she applies
to her attack rolls.

Complete Warrior, but yes.

Okay, with that wording it does sound like leap attack gives a 4:1 payoff with power attack, and 6:1 with supreme power attack.

Granted that's assuming that in both cases when they said +100% they did mean the same thing, which you never can tell with WOTC.
