Can u take a feat if you temporarily meet prereqs? [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-08-07, 11:28 PM If you want to take a feat in which the prereq is base on size (like snatch) can u take the feat if you are only huge part of the time? For example, if you are a large creature capable of becoming huge for say, 10 minutes a day, can you take the snatch feat?

04-08-07, 11:35 PM You can, but the benefits of a feat (or abilities of a PrC) are only available when you're actually fulfilling the prerequisites. So if you're only Huge part of the time, you can only use the feat while you're Huge, not when you're normal size.

For instance if a Paladin took a feat to enhance his mount, then later lost his paladin abilities, that feat is lost for good (or at least until he atones). This is the same deal (in this example).
