Can you name this feat? [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-20-08, 03:55 PM Hello my fellow dungeoneers; I have a bit of the age old problem, too many books not enough memory.

Anyway, there is this feat I remember seeing that had a discriptions something along the lines of this
Description
"through repeated applications of craft contingent spell (maybe it was tattoos but i dont think so) a spell caster can suprise enemies with their versatility" Some spellcasters have resurected the old art...
Benifit
Upon taking this feat you gain the ability to activate a contingent spell as a supernatural (or spell-like?) ability.

Do any of you guys know which book this feat could be in? If so, give me the book and name of the feat.

01-20-08, 06:32 PM Check Realms Help (google it: the URL has dandello.realmshelp or something similar), the Consolidated Lists, or crystalkeep.com first, they have lists of stuffs. And realmshelp has supposedly all feats ever, so check that.

01-20-08, 08:53 PM Well, Crystal Keep has been known to me for some time and i could not seem to find it on there, although your other site was far more complete. I imagine one of these days I will find it again.

For some reason I am thinking it was called "Spell Mantle" or something like that. In anycase, I know I remember in its description saying something about "wearing" (which it had in quotes in its description)" I also think that it mentioned that it was an ancient feat of netherese origin, though I may be confusing two old empires on this one.

Thanks for posting though! If anyone else may have any leads for me let me know, I am not giving up yet.

01-20-08, 11:31 PM Are you sure it was a feat? Also, if it was 3rd party, it would not be in any consolidated list that I know of.

01-21-08, 12:59 AM Well, It was not a third party feat but.... I suppose I never really thaught to look under magic items. Given what I remember of its description, for all i know it could have required craft contingent spell. I really could have sworn by the fact it was a feat, but i have been perrusing throughthe feat index on realmshelp, 1by 1 and I have not found it yet, but I will certainly check out the magic items section.

01-21-08, 01:12 AM OMFG; and 5minutes later I find; Sure enough, when I went into the Lost Empires of Faerun, looked for magic items and did not see any, so then I looked under legacies of Netheril and there it *ucking was. Apparently it is classified as being a form of magic item that is rarely used in torils "current" age.

Sorry to bother, this thread was a waste of time; after all, my first instinct as to where it was, was correct.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reading a bit further; It is a feat and its not listed of reamshelp or crystalkeep!!!!!

2) Shade, there is a find function, you know. Pressing ctrl+f and then typying a word will search the page.
