| nimgurth09-30-07, 01:12 PM | pg 47) corrupt spell: adds evil desciptor, changes 1/2 of any dmg done to unholy dmg, and uses up 1 spell slot higher than actual spell lvl. pg 50) violate spell: adds evil desciptor, changes 1/2 of any dmg done to vile dmg, and uses up 1 spell slot higher than actual spell lvl. adding either one does what it says, but what if you add both to the same spell? add 1st feat and dmg = 1/2 unholy, 1/2 normal. then adding the 2nd feat to same spell does what?: a) dmg = 1/2 unholy, 1/4 vile(1/2 of the remaining normal dmg), and 1/4 normal or b) dmg = 1/2 unholy, 1/2 vile canceling out any normal dmg or c) dmg = 1/4 unholy, 1/4 vile (splitting the alternate dmg in 1/2) and 1/2 normal and the spell lvl slot is 2 lvls higher than actual lvl after application of both feats right? |
| Jaxgaret09-30-07, 01:14 PM | As a DM I would rule B) 1/2 Vile and 1/2 Unholy for the +2 adjustment. |
| Someone09-30-07, 01:49 PM | I believe the answer is D) 1/4 normal, 1/4 unholy, 1/4 vile normal, and 1/4 vile unholy. For example, a vile unholy fireball (at CL 10) would deal 5d6 fire damage and 5d6 unholy damage, with half of the resulting fire damage and half the resulting unholy damage (after saves, fire resistance, etc.) being vile damage. |
