| Colonel Talarei09-06-07, 07:56 PM | is there a feat that lets you base your spells off of a different attribute? If so where can i find it? |
| Captain_Kobold09-06-07, 10:05 PM | I don't believe that there is. Generally, changing the usual attribute for casting spells is the focus of a different class. You are unlikely to find anything that would allow a Cleric to base their Spell DCs, bonus slots etc off intelligence instead of Wisdom. |

DC for spell saves still uses charisma So now you can apply the same bonus for spells/day and Warmage's edge? I don't think so... If PC presented this feat to me, I'd laugh at them, then tell them no. The ability score that your spellcasting is based on is part of the balance of classes/PrC's (especially PrC's). The closest you're going to come to is the Geomancer (CD). It lets you use the same ability score for both your arcane and divine casting classes that you had before entering it (although it only advances one). |

Scrolls are either Arcane or Divine and not tied to the actual class of the scriber, so you can pick any "appropriate ability" of a class that could have scribed the scroll for the Use Magic Device skill. This can be either Wisdom or Charisma for Divine scrolls because of the Favored Soul class, for instance, or either Intelligence or Charisma for Wizard-scribed scrolls if they're also on the Sorcerer spell list. This doesn't help with anything except spells on scrolls, of course. It might come in useful when you need a specific high-level spell, that's normally beyond your ability, to use against a known threat. |
