According to my searches here, this also allows one to make a charge attack with a ranged weapon along with power attack and the like. But onto the point: If I can charge with a thrown weapon, can I also leap attack, or combine it with the Shock Trooper tactical feats? Can I make AoOs with my thrown weapon since the only requirement to do so is to threaten the square with a melee attack? According to my seaches, the answer to these questions is "yes" but I just want to make sure. Thanks |

Standard problems about exactly how much damage they really meant for you to do still apply Shock Trooper: Yes. But weapon must be one handed or two handed (no Power Attack with light weapons). AoO's: If you can threaten with the weapon, techincally you can take an AoO with that melee weapon, even without the Thunderous Throw. I.E. If you are 5ft from the bad guy, you could techincally throw your dagger at him as your AoO. This does not appear to be abusive in any way. Remember throw range does not affect your threat range. |

The stuff in parenthesis is my edit for obvious reasons. So once I declare Thunderous Throw, can't I make a melee attack into just about any square I want? Or is their something I'm missing? As far as I know, the weapon itself has no influence on whether or not one threatens a square, other than the fact that certain weapons are not considered "armed" attacks, such as an unarmed strike. |

Thunderous Throw does not say your ranged attacks are melee attacks. What it says is you can treat your ranged attack *ROLLS* with thrown weapons as melee attacks. They're still ranged attacks and as such do not threaten (other than as normal for melee). You still apply standard modifiers for range penalties, attacking into melee, through cover, and so forth. You just get to use your STR and melee feats with them. |
