I have just turned 3rd level and get to choose a new feat i was looking through the ph and saw the metamagic feat "maximize spell" which maximizes all numeric effects, one example being the hp I would heal, say I were to cast cure mod on someone with the feat maximize spell i would be able to automaticly heal 16(2d8)+1/per-level of hp to the chosen target. In your opinion would this be a good feat to choose(I have already looked and the feat discription does not state this feat is limited to any class, or pretige class)

Well Maximize would work, in facts it is a class ability for one of the more powerful cleric prestige classes, but it wouldn't do you a lot of good at your current level. Maximize increases the level of the spell by three, meaning a Maximized Cure Light Wounds would take a 4th level spell slot.

In other words, maximize is not worth it for cure spells. A better way of getting more of your healing is through the Augment Healing feat (CDiv). Also, making sure your party doesn't get hurt works. So try buffing them a lot, there are a lot of spells out there. Also, CC has some great new feats that work really well. Touch of Healing is a great one to extend your healing capabilities, and so is Protection Devotion. Another great way to extend your spell slots is to take Extend and Persist (CArc) spell. With persist, your buffs will last all day, thus taking fewer spell slots. Maximize is really most useful for arcane blasters.

1) please use proper grammar. Specifically punctuation and capitalization. You will be taken more seriously, and will not be chewed out as much.
2) check out my sig under "need help?". The link "Dictionary of Terms" has all the things you'll need to know.

Actually that name comes from a very old D&D campaign I played in, which predates my knowledge of the books, if not the books themselves.

There is a consolidated feat listing on Wizards here -> http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/lists/feats

At the bottom you can find a list of the commonly used abbreviations for the different sourcebooks.

The Dictionary o Terms has abbreviations for more than just the books, it also has most every other abbreviation used here on the boards, as well as common terms and anecdotes.

Thank you for telling me where I can find a list of terms, and sorry about the grammer I was in a hurry last night but I will keep that in mind.

That's alright. I was just saving you some greif. I was nice about it, some people here aren't so nice about it. They're good people and all, just angry good people.
