1: should an archer get this feat?

2: how would a archer use it effectivly to his advantage?

You don't, an archer has no threatened squares, so he isn't taking AoO's anyway.

Thats what i thought, but thier are a couple of feats i was thinkin about getting, and i need combat reflexes to get them.

So i geuss i wont be able to get them, unless i find a way to use combat reflexes.

I think there is an elven bow which can also be used as a melee weapon and does damage equal to a club.

Also I can't see it being to unreasonable to design a weapon that has daggers on either end of your bow.

And if none of those work, then take unarmed strike and you are take AoO that way.

*EDIT* Also I think there is a prestige class that allows an archer to threaten squares, but I can't think of it at this moment. Also can't arrows be considered a melee weapon if held in hand? Nothing great but a possiblity.

An arrow could be an improvised weapon, perhaps, dealing 1d3 damage (hey, a bow shoots it with some force). As for the PrC, i believe it is the Peerless Archer from the Silver Marches book (FR, Regional). It is a good combo, since the PA threatens with the bow as if with a reach weapon and thus cover a wider area.

Ok that's 2 times in 5 minutes I've seen this Peerless Archer come up. Another thread wanted to know how an archer can do power attack with bow. I'm going to have to look up this PrC sounds interesting..... and powerful. Two things my DM doesn't like me finding, lol.

AoO can only be done with melee weapons. Though there are bowswords in MIC (Free action to change from a bow to a sword, there are several different kinds).

the spell arrow mind also lets you make AOO within your reach IE 5' small medium and 10' large and you dont provoke while using a bow .
